I’m Carrissa, a backyard birder, nature content creator, and the heart behind Chirp Nook. What started as a simple love for watching birds has grown into a creative space centered on curiosity, care, and slowing down enough to notice the wild things around us.

Through short videos, thoughtful storytelling, and hands on experiences with bird products and technology, I share the everyday magic of birdwatching in a way that feels approachable and real. Whether it’s a chickadee landing in my hand or testing the latest feeder innovation, my goal is always the same, to help more people fall in love with wild birds.
My Story
I found birdwatching during a season of grief. After losing my dad, I began spending more time outside, quietly watching the birds in my backyard. What started as a small comfort became a daily ritual, one that brought peace, focus, and a sense of connection when everything else felt unsteady.

I began sharing those moments on TikTok, never expecting anyone else to care. But people did. The calm videos, the simple joy, the birds just being birds, it resonated. That little corner of the internet slowly grew into a community, and eventually into opportunities to collaborate with brands who shared the same respect for nature.
Chirp Nook grew from that place of healing into something bigger, a space where birdwatching is welcoming, accessible, and rooted in real experience.
My Passion
I’m deeply passionate about bird feeding, ethical bird products, and the technology that helps people connect with birds in new ways. I believe birdwatching should feel inviting, not intimidating, and that anyone can start, no matter where they live or how much they know.
