Description:
Anna’s Hummingbird is a common and bold hummingbird found along the West Coast. Unlike many hummingbirds, it often stays year round and is a frequent visitor to backyard feeders and gardens.

Identification:
Males have a shimmering rose-pink head and throat that can appear almost metallic in sunlight, along with a green body and gray underside. Females are green with a pale throat and may show small red spots. Both are small with rapid wingbeats.
Song Description:
A series of high-pitched chips and buzzes. During courtship, males perform a dramatic dive that produces a sharp chirping sound.
