Description:
The Carolina Wren is a small, energetic songbird often found hopping through shrubs, brush piles, and backyard gardens. Despite its tiny size, it has an incredibly loud voice and is often heard long before it is seen.

Identification:
A warm reddish brown bird with a pale eyebrow stripe, buff colored underside, and slightly curved bill. Males and females look nearly identical. Their upright posture and frequently flicking tail help distinguish them.
Song Description:
A loud, clear whistle often described as “tea kettle, tea kettle, tea kettle.”
